Wroclaw’s airport named after Copernicus – the world-famous astronomer – is situated about 12 km southeast of the city centre. It is really a small airport as it has only one runway, one domestic and one international airport terminal but the good thing is a tourist will not get lost here. On weekdays the bus goes every 20-30 minutes (from 4.52 in the morning till 10.53 at night), whereas on Sundays and holidays it goes every 40 minutes (from 6.02 a.m. till 10.56 p.m.). The bus goes from the airport to the centre and the journey takes about 20 minutes (depending on the time of day). However, if you want to take a bus from the centre to the airport, the No. 406 bus leaves from a bus stop situated near the Main Railway Station (in Dworcowa Street).
