Parking zones

There are restricted parking zones in Wroclaw. If you park without a valid ticket or parking permit, you’ll face a fine of PLN 47. Parking permits (as well as tickets) can be purchased at the office of the Street and Transport Authority (ul. Dluga 49, building C). Parking tickets are primarily distributed through the network of Ruch newsagents and the network of parking ticket machines.

The first–hour charges for parking in Wroclaw are, depending on the zone, PLN 1 for every 20 minutes started or PLN 1 for every half hour started. The rates for the second and third hours are as follows:

Where the initial charge is PLN 1 for every 20 minutes started (so the first hour of parking costs PLN 3), the charge for the second hour is PLN 3.15, and that for the third hour is PLN 3.30. Where the initial charge is PLN 1 for every 30 minutes started (so the first hour of parking costs PLN 2), the charge for the second hour is PLN 2.10, and that for the third hour is PLN 2.20. The charges for the fourth and subsequent hours are the same as for the first hour.

An hour’s parking in a secure car park typically costs PLN 2–5. Overnight parking will cost between PLN 25 and PLN 50. If you park in the Galeria Dominikanska car park while shopping, you will not be charged for the first hour of parking.

Disabled persons may use free parking spaces designated with white rectangles with diagonal lines and pictograms of a person in a wheelchair. There are about 100 such spaces in Wroclaw. People with disabilities can park there free of charge. Unfortunately, a disabled person’s parking permit does not entitle the holder to free parking outside the specially marked spaces.
