The Wroclaw Philharmonic was founded in 1954. Its Orchestra performs a diverse repertoire from baroque to contemporary music, chamber music as well as great works requiring a wide array of instruments and sounds. The ensemble gives regular concerts, performing about 120 different programs during a season. Apart from issuing its own CDs, the Orchestra makes radio and TV recordings and co-operates with many prominent conductors.
