Panorama of the Battle of Raclawice is a huge (15x114m) panorama painting, the only one of its kind in Poland. Many artists participated in the project to paint the Panorama, which was to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the glorious Battle of Rac³awice, when the famous general Tadeusz Kosciuszko led the regulars and peasant volunteers against the Russian army in 1794. The Panorama was created in Lviv and after the Second World War it was brought to Wroclaw. Because of the Communist authorities, the Panorama was reopened in 1985 and today it is one of the main tourist attraction.
